Norther Junior Inter-League 2003

City of Sheffield secured their place in the NATIONAL JUNIOR LEAGUE FINAL by winning the Northern Final at Everton Park sports centre, Liverpool on October 25th.

The team from CoSSS, who are this year's Yorkshire White Rose Junior League Champions, left it to the last event, the Cannon Relay, to pip the City of Liverpool into 2nd place by just 1 point.

The Sheffield winners were: Boys 11 yrs Medley & Free teams; Charlotte Broadbent (Girls 12 years 50 back & 50 breast); Lucy Spencer (Girls 10 years 50 breast); Girls 10 years Medley team; Jack Dunn (Boys 12 years 50 breast); David Broadley (Boys 11 years 50 breast); Girls 12 years Medley & Free teams; Braxston Timm (Boys 11 years free); and the Cannon Relay team.

Mention must go to the rest of the team who also performed brilliantly on the day, and to our fantastic supporters who out-shouted, out-cheered and out-sang the rest of the teams in the balcony.

The National Final is back in Liverpool on 23rd November, where the City of Sheffield will be up against some of the best junior clubs in the country.

Team captains Charlotte Broadbent & Jack Dunn, along with the rest of the swimmers, are seen below with the Gala trophy.
